At Dean Group, we believe in always providing the highest quality services and products. For this reason, we’re constantly improving ourselves in order to be able to offer world-class services to our customers – this includes obtaining the latest quality certification.
We are pleased to announce that Dean Group International are now fully approved to ISO 9001:2015, which is awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI).
This accreditation lays out the criteria for a quality management system (QMS) when a company needs to showcase its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet the necessary customer or regulatory requirements. It’s also important to improve customer satisfaction, as it helps to create an efficient application of a quality system.
Every seven years, the BSI releases their latest version of the ISO 9001 accreditation.
This means that we were compliant with the ISO 9001:2008 version but now have updated our certification to its latest version, which is a major achievement for us!
The main difference between these two versions is that the ISO 9001:2015 has ten clauses instead of eight. The first three are essentially the same found in its previous incarnation, but the rest are vastly different. The last seven are organised according to the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act).
Some other differences included in this new arrangement are:
It proves our commitment to you, the customer.
After all, as our certificate of registration indicates, we “operate a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 for the following scope: The manufacture, supply, stocking and warehousing of casting in steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous alloys, machining, surface finishing and sub-assemblies to customer supplied specifications.”
In other words, the ISO 9001:2015 certification allows us to assure quality in everything we do (and throughout the lifetime of the product), from our casting process controls to our rigorous inspection methods.
This quality accreditation showcases our commitment to maintaining the highest standard of quality at all times, as it focuses on what is needed for a QMS, such as documented information and planning, covers the responsibilities of management, highlights the management of resources (human or otherwise), and discusses how to measure, analyse and improve the QMS via processes like internal audits and preventative actions.
We want to say a massive thank you to all the team’s hard work in this fantastic milestone! Dean Group’s goals align with those of the ISO 9001:2015, as we have a commitment to quality and continuous improvement – and intend to continue investing in the future. Please don’t hesitate to contact us to learn more about processes and services, such our investment casting. We’re more than happy to help with anything you require for your project.
