We have retained our gold Environmental Award

The management at Dean Group are proud to announce they have retained their GOLD award from Salford City Council for "Protecting and Improving Our Environment".

This accolade has been awarded as Dean Group continue to operate the manufacture of investment castings in a properly controlled and environmentally sensitive way: Dean Group are amongst the cleanest manufacturers of investment castings in the UK.  Everyone is encouraged to take responsibility for their own area and to strive for continual improvements, keeping the building and surroundings clean and tidy. This is underlined when visitors comment on the general cleanliness of the premises and the positive attitude of all the staff.

The philosophy starts at the shop floor and resonates through the business, from a paperless (or as close at it can be) office to recycling and reducing and controlling our emissions. There's a lot of talk about carbon footprints these days, and melting metal for the lost wax method, or any other, certainly does use a lot of energy, so we are doing our best to compensate for this in other ways. We are proud that our efforts are continously recognised by Salford City Council.
