Dean Group have recently renewed its long standing membership with British Standards Institute (BSI) in order to stay at the forefront of the UK casting industry while continuously looking to improve performance, reduce risk and achieve sustainable growth. Our membership with the BSI reinforces our commitment to manufacturing quality castings of the highest standard.

Our ever growing customer base has the highest expectations and to ensure a continuous supply of excellent components, we have to stay up to date with industry changes and technological advances. The knowledge and support from BSI has facilitated many improvements at Dean Group. Over more than 40 years the company has implemented changes including:

• Completely redesigning the shop floor to maximise the efficiency of manufacturing
• Investment in bespoke systems for estimating, quality, and production control
• Investment in key machinery to make production more streamlined
• Investment in an automated robotics systems to increase weight capabilities, and improve health and safety and efficiency
• Continued investment in Solidworks 3D CAD software, Mavis CAD Casting Simulation software, and a Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machine
• Introduction of fully risk assured low cost overseas supply from China to offer larger volume production to our customers
• Expanding our offering to include premium grade investment casting, commercial grade investment casting, gravity die casting and pressure die casting, metal injection moulding, forging and many additional investment casting processes, treatments and finishes
• Introduction of a Microscopy Facility to our in-house Laboratory to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained
• Continued investment in staff training through apprenticeships, special skills training and professional qualifications
